This page will describe what to call the ugly parts of your print (artifacts) with Materium.
3D Printers are complex system that can go wrong in many places but never truly break. We want to isolate what’s caused by materium and what’s not.
Some can be avoided, some cannot. It depends on what you feed in and how you print.
Some are from the printer itself, some from wrong slicing setting, and lastly some are indeed caused by extrusion issue.
1. Printer/Slicing Issue (not extruder)

Layer shifting
Warping
Layer splitting
Print detached from bed
Overextrusion
Ringing
2. from extruder
Layer banding
Oozing/Stringing
Fused clearances
Underextrusion
Blobs in corners
Missed dimensions
Clog/Jam
3. From material
Bubbling
Layer banding (too)
Oozing/Stringing
No Extrusion (not a compatible material)
Unreliable extrusion (barely compatible material)
